Awhile ago I posted a bracelet I made using the chain maille technique. Here is the promised tutorial.
Supplies needed:
Clasp of your choice
Two pairs of jewelry pliers
Jump rings in two sizes
(Smaller size must be able to slip through the larger size.)
Step 1:
Join two larger rings to the loop on the clasp. (Rings A and B)
Step 2:
Place two smaller rings around the two larger rings.
This one's tricky. Loop a larger ring (Ring C) all the way around both smaller rings, passing between the previous two larger rings (A and B).
Here's a side view of the ring. (Sorry for the blurry photo.)
Step 4:
Loop two larger rings (D and E) through both of the smaller rings, on either side of the previous larger ring (C). Ring C will now be sandwiched between both sets of larger rings, circling the two smaller rings.
Step 5:
Loop two more smaller rings around rings D and E (Repeat of Step 2).
Repeat steps until desired length is reached.
If desired, you may weave a wire with colored beads through the links. The right sized beads will look as if they are almost framed by the larger rings.
There it is! Enjoy! Comment with any questions. It really is easier than it looks.
